Gluten Allergy Basics

Something I get asked a lot when I tell people I am gluten intolerant is, “What does that mean? Do you have Celiac? What can you can’t you eat?”

Now before we get into this, just a reminder--I am NOT A DOCTOR NOR AN OFFICIAL EXPERT. This is all the information I’ve learned from the time I was advised by my chiropractor to cut wheat out of my diet, almost 10 years ago. 


I have done my research and tried to find the most reliable sources to explain this to you all.

So, let’s get down to the basics. 

According to Gluten.org, Celiac Disease, non-Celiac gluten sensitivity and having a wheat allergy are all conditions that can be managed by dietary changes. But, the level of reaction and where the reaction shows up in the body are the differentiating factors.
